The 38 issues constitute almost the entire publication of the Catalog of ancient and modern coins published by the prestigious Nicolò Majer firm of Venice from 1907 to 1919 (only three are missing). This catalog replaced the previous one printed by Majer together with the numismatist Morchio.

Traces of use under no. 12, for the rest overall in excellent condition.

Inside volume I there is a nice bookmark of the firm Dr. Busso Peus Nachf. Frankfurt, with pencil notes, which show that the lot was sold by the same company during the 1996 auction.

The volumes, which collect everything published by the prestigious Morchio & Majer firm of Venice from 1897 to 1904, come from the extinct library of the famous numismatist PO Tremblay. Born in 1864, Tremblay was curator of the Numismatic Museum of the Society of Archeology and Numismatics of Montreal.

In 1893 the Venetian numismatist Morchio started printing these large-format sales lists, to which Majer was added from 1895. This publication was interrupted after about ten issues, to make room for a more practical series of reduced format.

A lossless tear on the first page of issue no. 8, signs of aging, otherwise in good overall condition.
