Volume embellished by the author's autograph dedication to the Minister of Education Professor Guido Baccelli (1830-1916). Professor Baccelli, doctor and scientist, studied in Pavia and Rome, where he then taught pathological anatomy and medical clinic. Elected deputy in 1874, he was called by Cairoli to public education (1881-1884), in place of the resigning De Sanctis, and later confirmed in that position by Depretis. Back to education (1893-1896 and 1898-1900) with Crispi and with gen. Pelloux, finally went to agriculture (1901-1903) with Zanardelli.

Guido Baccelli (Roma 1830-1916), medico e scienziato, studiò a Pavia e a Roma, dove poi insegnò anatomia patologica e clinica medica. Eletto deputato nel 1874, fu da Cairoli chiamato alla pubblica istruzione (1881-1884), al posto del dimissionario De Sanctis, e confermato poi in quell’incarico da Depretis. Di nuovo all’istruzione (1893-1896 e 1898-1900) con Crispi e con il gen. Pelloux, fu infine all’agricoltura (1901-1903) con Zanardelli.
