Philip Lavy's sumptuous numismatic collection included over 10,500 coins, 4,879 from the Greek world and 5,747 from Roman. Part of the collection was absorbed by the collection of the Royal Cabinet of Turin in 1866.

Work embellished with an autograph dedication by Filippo Lavy to the first guard card of volume I.

Traces of use to the binding of volume I, for the rest volumes in excellent condition, partially uncut, with fresh and marginal paper.
